Warranty
Our warranty covers all parts failures and factory defects myFirst NZ reserves the right to amend or modify the terms and conditions of this Warranty in accordance with applicable laws.
1. Warranty Period
Our products are covered by a 1-year warranty starting from the original date of purchase. This warranty covers purchases made through retail stores, authorized distributors, and our official online store.
- Batteries: Battery coverage for products is valid for 6 months from the date of purchase.
- Promotions: Products purchased during special promotional campaigns are covered for 30 days.
- Proof of Purchase: The warranty period starts from the date you purchase the Product. Your original purchase invoice (sales receipt or order confirmation email showing the purchase date and product description) serves as your proof of purchase date.
2. Warranty Claim Procedures
No registration is required. Please retain your original purchase invoice (sales receipt or order confirmation email).
- Gifts: If the product was received as a gift, proof of purchase is still required to obtain warranty coverage.
- Filing a Claim: You may make a claim within the warranty period, provided the issue does not fall under Section 3 (Exclusions and Limitations).
- How to Claim: If you experience any issues with your product, please contact our Customer Support team at online@myfirst.nz or through our Contact Us page, and follow our troubleshooting instructions.
Product accessories and any devices where the serial number has been removed, defaced, or altered are not covered by this warranty. Additionally, the warranty does not cover:
- Accidental Damage: Drops, physical screen breakage, water intrusion beyond rated specifications, water spills, or impact damage.
- Cosmetic Damage: Scratches, dents, knocks, scuffs, scrapes, or chips.
- Normal Wear and Tear: Aesthetic changes occurring over normal use and aging, wristband discoloration, broken straps, etc.
Note: Out-of-warranty products or devices with physical/accidental damage may qualify for fee-based repair services.
Notice for New Zealand Customers (Consumer Guarantees Act): Nothing in this warranty policy limits or excludes your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA) or the Fair Trading Act 1986. Under New Zealand consumer law, if a fault is minor, the business may choose whether to repair, replace, or refund the item. If a fault is major or cannot be repaired within a reasonable timeframe, the customer has the right to choose between a replacement unit or a full refund.
